    Do mice eat busy lizzies?

I spent ages clearing a border and planting double busy lizzies yesterday

And this morning, there's a mouse type creature scampering around there

Last year, something devoured that border

I worked really hard on that and if some mouse type thing is going to eat them, I'll shoot it

Put down cayanne pepper around them... it'll be enough to chase off most opportunist munchers.

Interesting theory . Sunflowers and busy lizzies have lost foliage here - just stalks - and I sighted a m-o-u-s-e on patio yesterday
