    Meal ideas

We've got DH's elderly aunt over this weekend + her son. I think he's going to suggest they arrive for lunch on Saturday and head home Sunday after lunch. The idea of eg. pizza and pasta to them is foreign and strange so what can I cook them? I was going to do a roast for lunch on Sunday but has anyone got any other ideas for lunch and dinner on the Saturday?

Usually we get a takeaway when people visit - much easier!!! But not really feasible this weekend. Bah.

a nice simple beef stew with mashed potatoes, if my mum or dad are visiting i just put some beef chunks, onions, carrots in a slow cooker or pan.. then mix in gravy granules once its boiled, and then do some boiled potatoes, mash them when ready and serve.. so simple to do..
