    Meals that reheat well

With the children's after school activities and DH quite often working late, I am finding that increasingly I need to cook and then re-heat someones meal as it is too late for everyone to eat, ( as it is we normally don't sit down until 6.30!)

I usually do something like cottage pie, casserole or lasagne as they reheat well.

What I am looking for are meals that I can reheat in the microwave as a whole meal.

    Ideas very welcome

Chilli - although I reheat on the hob. Freezes well too and always tastes better after reheating.

Pasta bakes, pasta sauces, etc always work well too - although I'd finish off in oven to make a cheese topping crispy again.

With the chilli do you re heat the rice or cook fresh? Want to avoid having to cook fresh each time!

I make chili with a cornbread topping and it's a meal in itself. Just reheat in the microwave and serve with salad or veg.
If I'd made rice too, I'd reheat. Or have couscous which just requires boiling water over it for 5 mins.

I have a slow cooker, but I don't use it much, do you load it up in the morning before work or the night before?

I usually load it up the night before with the veg and meat, then add hot stock in the morning before I leave for work

So do you not bother browning the meat? That's the bit that bothers me doing it the night before.

I only brown mince, so do that in the morning. I don't brown anything else, just chop it and stick it in
