Imogen used bluetac to put a poster up the other day and I almost wept.

Oh for goodness sake, they're children - more important than having pristine walls?!!!!
What do you want them to remember about being a child, a clean bedroom or one that felt like theirs?!

Ours have always just peeled off fine tbh.

Am with you Tilly. Love giving Mollie a room she adores. Infact just about to do hers in two weeks time. She's having a film/Harry potter theme, mainly for but with some HP b's prints. Just leaving ikea now having bought some accessories and awaiting a film strip border I have ordered from America. Can't wait for it to be done now!

Tilly, you promised me you'd grown out of Charizard and all that, and that you were going to have a grown up theme in your room at last!

My girls love their rooms too but I can't stand stickers - ANYWHERE!! I hardly think my girls have a deprived life just because I don't allow them to adhere stickers to every surface.

We don't do themes, we do colours. Abigayle's is about to be repainted as she currently has purple on two walls and white with glitter on two walls. She is going to have the purple broken up with lime green and silver stripes!! All her choice.

Bethan's still to deciding - some days she wants to stick with the pink and white glitter and other days she wants something more grown up.

Just bought lots of the black and white accessories for Mollie's room today, even managed to find a film strip clock too which I am pleased with. So we know have lamps, cushions, throws, photo frames, etc. Have found bedding ready to order. And the border is on order already. Justneed to source a lampshade, curtains and curtain pole I think. Oh, and a red runner type rug. Plus one or two other bits such as a clapperboard, etc but have sourced them I think.

We have stick ons at the moment. As I say they have always come off very easily. When we took the princess ones off to put the current ones on no paint or anything came off at all. Doesn't really matter so much this time as we are painting the walls white anyway - no more pink!

I don't mind the proper stick ons, but I have said no to posters - blutack is a nightmare ime. So all her photos and pictures go up in frames of various forms.

I remember ds having a ghostbusters bedroom,wallpaper,stickers,curtains,lightshade,duv et and rug,it would give you a headache but he loved it,whereas dd2 has completely covered 1 1/2 walls completely in posters of bands like 30seconds to mars,bullet for my valentine etc basically anyone who screams and wears black! i miss barbie
