What a wonderful thing to do and how wonderful for her to allow it to be broacast like this as no doubt there will be idiots who have a warped opinion of this beautiful, giving and selfless act.

Call me cynical but it smacks of publicity to me.

I would have done the same for any baby that needed it.

It's very lovely and I would do the same but I'm not crying.

Presumably publicity for Unicef's tetanus vaccine programme, as she was in Sierra Leone to promote that at the time (a worthy cause even if Proctor and Gambel are involved). She also campaigns for breastfeeding and against domestic violence.

She has no need to publicise herself. I sincerely doubt she went out there with her PA nad her PR team and said 'Find me a little black baby to breastfeed!'

I can honestly say 110% I do not think for one nano second that she breastfed that baby for publicity. It was simply what it was. A beautiful act of love and giving from one woman to a hungry baby and his mother.

The only thing it 'publicises' is a positive message. It's a beautiful thing in what is more and more seeming like a pretty awful world on many levels.

And those are no bad things

There is positive 'publicity' that gives out a good message and brings awareness of a cause to people who might not be aware of it and there is selfish, self 'promoting'. In ths case, I seriously do not think you can accuse Salma of the latter, Clem. She was in no way promoting or publicising herself by manipulating a situation for her own selfish gain.
