    Teeth

My 14 mth old has had her first 2 top teeth come through in the last week however in the last 3 days since the 2nd of these came through my nipple is very sore and today there is blood! DD is not biting but it's as if the teeth are rubbing on my nipple as she feeds. This happened slightly when the bottom 2 came through but it was only uncomfortable for a few days and there was certainly no broken skin.
    Any advise greatly recieved?

When my DD3's top teeth came through she regually left teeth marks on the top edge of my nipple and though they didn't bleed they were incredibly painful and raw, she too wasn't biting, was more of a friction thing. I had to go back to basics really re position and attatchment, really made sure she was latched on well and I found it helped if I gently 'pushed' her head into my breast as she fed (not in any way to affect her breathing but just enugh to stop her pulling back and slipping off my nipple iyswim), I also went back to using Lansinoh while they were sore). A teething baby's saliva can be more acidic than normal and make your skin sorer, I know some mums find very gently washingf their nipples after a feed helps too though I have never bothered doig this.
It did ease after a time and now at 21mnths we have no problems at all. I hope you are feeling more comfy soon

Does your Lo lean forward when she feeds?
We had this and i used to have 2 little grooves on my nipple ouch!
There was some fab advice on kelly mom, basically as amy said it goes back to repositioning, get her to lie back when she feeeds so that the weight of her teeth are not pressing on you and the problem should go.
For some reason after a few weeks, we were able to go back to feeding any old how
    Hope it all settles son
