    Chicken pox

I don't believe it. DD1 has just been diagnosed with chicken pox. She had it when she was 18 months old! How can she possibly have it again? So annoying. Apparently it's rare, but it can happen.

Having said that, she was diagnosed by the nurse who we don't really trust, so I am not 100% sure. DD1 is totally fine in herself, no temperature or cold symptoms and only has a few spots on her shoulders. So I am not convinced but it still means she's off school for at least a week.

She had it about 3 weeks ago, so it's possible she gave it to DD1. It still doesn't make sense to me though.

I know some people can get it twice, and more ..... I think it's something to do with the immune system's reaction to it?

If they only have it mild the first time it is possible to catch it again

I really really don't think it is. She is absolutely fine and the spots look like bites, not the pox IYSWIM.

Never mind. Just means she's home this week, we can have pancakes this morning and not have to worry about getting up in time to go to school. Shame.
