Thread: the class act program

Anyone here has heard of CLASS Act or Community living assistance services and Support?
i've heard so many stuff about this since December last year after Obama signed the program. What are your thoughts about it?

Long term care is needed not by elders only by those with illnesses or disabilities that require extended care. We used to be acquainted about Medicaid and Medicare benefits, but as years passed these two programs seem irrelevant and unreliable. both medicare and medicaid provide scant help or assistance.

Long term care can be horribly expensive, particularly the nursing home costs. This is where the CLASS Act program intervenes. Let's see in the succeeding months if this program will pave its way.

As I live in the UK I'm afraid I don't know much about this. I believe that here, the situation is that if you need long term care and you aren't with your family then you go into a nursing home. If you have the funds then you must pay for it yourself, if you have no funds then the state covers it.
