Thread: Boys names - Help!

Anyone fancy helping me to decide on a boys name. The only short listed name is Ewan but I'm not sure. I think it is a little too common.

I'd like a short name as DS and DDs name both have just four letters.

DD is called A n y a and DS is F i n n - His name is common now but wasn't when he was born!

Well top of our list was of course Noah.

All a bit common round here, I know lots of boys with many of those names. DH works with an Ellis so that is no good. Toby is no good as it starts with T, same as our surname.

I like Sam but it puts me off that people wouldn't know if it was a boy or a girl.

I did think of Owen but I think DH had gone off that, I found boy's names really hard. D'you know, my brother didn't get named for weeks after he was born (this may have been exaggerated over the years) I wonder if people have always decided on a name before the baby was born or if they used to wait until it had actually arrived and survived?
