    Little monkey

Decided he was gonna give me a scare yesterday! I had my first DS at 31 weeks, and yesterday, at 30+4, this one decided to scare me with contractions!!

I spent just over 24 hours being monitored, given steroid injections, made to walk about all morning to make sure me going home wasn't going to set anything off, and luckily, by 8pm last night, they stopped of their own accord, and haven't had any since.

I figure I've probably got a good few days in any case, and I'm happy now I've had the steroids, cos even if he comes out now he'll be fine, just small.
    Love,
    Cecily

Things are fine this morning. I'm not anticipating him staying put to term to be honest, but hopefully at least another week!!

I'm surprisingly calm now. I suppose with already having a premmie 2 years ago, I've been there before, so know what to expect. I've had the steroids, so he should be able to breath fine by himself. Only issue is feeding, but if I can keep him in another month, he should be born with sucking reflex.

So all in all, I'm very calm! Just happy to be home with Alastair and able to sleep at night!!

I know how you feel. My little munchkin decided to scare me and threaten to come out early like my dd but luckily he decided to stay put until practically term!!

Hope things calm down and he stays put for as long as possible
