Personally, if you think your waters may have gone and you're having contractions I would get it checked out straight away - can you call the delivery suite and ask for advice?
In general, I know I'm in labour proper when I can neither talk nor smile through a contraction but everybody is different
Good luck!![]()
I found that early labour felt not at all as I expected. Niggly uncomfortable, lots of backache(ds was op), diaorrhea and it took a while to realise that that was it (even though overdue !) and several hours before I had regular painful tightenings. Even when established and in hospital I didn't recognise painfully what the trace indicated as contractions !
If you are worried speak to your mw or delivery suite they may want to check you again.

Get checked. I had what I thought were Braxtons but when hooked up to a trace they were regular contractions without any discomfort. Long story but they lasted a few days . When they speeded up and I really felt them it was only 1.75 hours till I was ready to push. Result !
