    Stats

Lets found out who had the longest labour and who had the shortest. (Difficult as some people start niggling days before giving birth).

And who had the heaviest/lightest baby?

I was in labour 30 hours from my waters breaking to giving birth. A long time but I know people have gone much longer.

    H was 7lb 11 so pretty average.

Hmm. From when you feel labour started. Apparently I was only in labour 6 hours because they don't time it till you are 4cm dilated? I spent 18 hours at 1cm. My contractions started shortly after my waters broke so I count the whole lot.

If your contractions started before your waters broke, go with that.

I was induced with Mollie. I had the first lot on Wednesday evening, second lot of Thursdsay morning, next lot Thursday night, and then I finally had a c section on Friday night as the induction didn't work, only got to 2cm dilated. So the whole thing from first induction to birth was just over 50 hours. There was NO labour, so 0 hours for that

Mollie was born at 42 weeks, weighing 6lb 15oz.

I guess she just didn't want to come out!

I had a tutor who was induced but apparently you should never ever be given more than 2 pessaries but she was given 3 as nothing was happening and her uterus literally ripped in half and she severely haemorraged. The baby died and she died twice on the operating table but they brought her back. I just found that incredibly sad when she told me.
