HA! Looking at it (from the BBC) it's when the ELDEST starts school! And that's only lone parents, if you're still married can you not go back to work? And where's the money for childcare coming from. Stupid bloody idea.

And if half of us get made redundant, where are these jobs they should be going into?

Both the company taxes suit me. Makes it sensible not to wind up as we had considered. Especialy as CG tax will be increased.

All the rest, not as bad as I had expected. Child benefit, frozen, thats ok, Medical assessment for new and existing disability clams seems fair to me too.

However...... if anyone told me I HAD to work, wether I wanted to or not..... Surely if you can afford to stay at home and you are not a drain on society... why should you, although thats more aimed at people who ARE a drain on society??

I presume benefits will be stopped from that date, so it doesn't apply if you don't receive those benefits. It's just the presumption of it that irritates me, many women I know can't work as it would mean they would be shelling out more for childcare than they would earn. And also the fact that jobs are getting fewer and farther between.
