women pay so damn much money for chocolate?

I've just received an email from Thornton's saying there's a sale for 20% off, so interested, I had a look and it's still like £30!

Personally, a Snickers bar or a Dairy Milk is just fine. And, in my experience, expensive chocolate isn't as moreish as regular "news agent" variety...


So, ladies... Is it REALLY better, or do you just like spending money on something that is seen as 'extravagant'? You know, just like you HAVE to have 100 pair of shoes and 50 handbags.

I would NEVER spend £30 on chocolate EVER!!!! On beer maybe but not chocolate

Bar of galaxy and £3 of flowers from the petrol station is my idea of being spoilt!!!!

The most I've spent is upwards of £100 at Hotel Chocolat... And, yes, I understand that it's for a special occasion, but really... Taste for taste... I'd rather have a bag of minstrels and eat the 98 pound coins.

I totally agree, we were given a box of Hotel Chocolat for christmas and as nice as they were I wasn't gushing over them!
I'm not all that keen on Thorntons anyway.

Minstrels are my fav btw! And that Ritter sport, the mint one and the rum and raisin!

I like nice chocolate, but it doesnt have to be expensive....I bought a bar of milk chocolate filled with praline (I adore praline and truffles) from Boots Delicious range, it was a hefty bar, for 65p, and it was absolutely bloody gorgeous

do you know i was thinking earlier i might a big bar of ritter sport and bung it in the fridge for tonight....

i wouldnt spend £30 on choc, not even as a gift for someone. i';m about £15 max for a pressie.

Even for a gift I wouldn't spend £30 on chocolate for someone. It isn't even going to last very long anyway. Better off getting something lasting and/or a much cheaper choccy present.
