And if so, what do you do with them after Christmas? Was going to bin them but feel guilty!

Chuck 'em! They're not your kids. I find them cards very annoying, I don't want to have to look at other peoples' children.

I have a box of photographs. The photographs of friends children go in there with all the others. Usually the people who do this are old friends that I haven't seen for many many years. It's nice to have that little slice of keeping up with people.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
It depends on who they are and the type of photos.
If of family/close friend I may well save, or Mollie is likely too anyway and will put in her playroom on her pinboard.
If not, then it probably goes tbh.
We aren't actually sent photos nor do we send them in cards. We do get the odd thank you card/letter/postcard with photos on - the above applies. Likewise we send out thank you cards from Mollie which has 12 photos of Mollie over the year. Family will often have them pinned up on kitchen pinboard type things. I wouldn't be offended if people threw them though - I don't expect them to keep them long term.
Turn it the other way, I always send school photos to my aunts and uncles etc who remember the boys with money at Christmas and birthday. I'm not sure if this is actually rewarding them for their investment or just reminding them how angelic the boys are so they keep sending money! As they don't have any grandchildren of their own yet, I have a vague idea they would like to have photos of someone's kids round the place. I don't mind if they are just chucking them out, at the most I imagine they keep them til I send the next one!
I honestly think that these kinds of cards are tacky! I'm very picky about which cards I put up at christmas. Ones with other peoples' kids on go from the envelope into the bin.
