I've had breast cancer (one boob now a lot smaller than the other....but hey...I'm alive). It was a mammogram that found it...I couldn't feel the lump (about the size of a grain of rice) but I was in a high risk category so they did a mammogram and WHAM....8 months of treatment including surgery, radiation and chemo.

The tragedy is that I have seen young Mums with advanced breast cancer (brain tumours, liver tumours....) and they know they will never see their kids grow up. In young Mums it is harder to detect tumours because the flesh is dense so it is IMPERATIVE that you all check monthly...both boobs and in the armpits. Actually, I get hubby to do it...makes it fun!

Yes, I'll be clicking...I just wish it didn't take so long to get onto their site!

I click everyday, via the hunger site

    http://www.thehungersite.com/cgi-bin...jects/CTDSites

that leads me to the breast cancer site too, as well as rainforest, literacy, child health and animal rescue

I click on each one the first time I go on the computer each day - takes less than a minute

Just clicked and put it into my favourites so that I remember to do it every day. I have sent it to my mum, my 2 sister-in-laws, my step-mum and will take a leaflet into work next week so that I can get my colleagues to click as well. Great thread. Thanks
