fizzy wine all the way. white and pink. buy cava. it goes to peoples head quicker there you need less, plus it looks nice.

work on the theory of 1 bottle per person?

Yes, one per couple I'm sure is good, but I would add a few more bottles for 'luck' !

Def one bottle per head...then you can take it back if you have any left All the off licenses do sale or return, they do glass hire too.

I'd also get a dozen bottles of fizzy pop, and about 10 litres of fruit juice.

People generally want something less fizzy when eating so maybe get a dozen bottles for a toast (one glass per head with a little extra over) and the rest (one bottle per head) of white and red wine...more white than red.

Juice, squash and pop drinks for children and those who are driving. Plus beer for those who don't drink wine - especially if you are BBQing.

Will you have a bar where they can buy their own drinks after finishing the freebies, or will it be in a non-licensed venue? If so, you can give them an arrival drink, a dinner drink and a toast drink and they can top up their hangovers on their own money
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

    We will remember them.
