Gemma, I know how difficult it is, my Mum died just weeks before Mother's Day last year.
I doubt if dh has even remembered it, he's busy at work and doing his MBA.

My tribe are at their fathers, I haven't been given anything for Mothers day for the last year or 2, no one does anything from the kids for me so it's just any other day. I'm not on talking terms with my own mother either so not at all fussed.

    To all who need them

Gemma, I have lost my Mum so I understand.

No plans here really as DS has a football match at 1pm on Mothers Day; am hoping it will be postponed as it's in Wootton Bassett and about that time there is the big Biker Afghan Heroes event going on and I have no idea how they are going to get to the pitch with over 10000 bikers around!.

DH needs to sort a gift for MIL no idea what yet

to all those who need one!! It's hard for DH too, Father's Day too, as both his parents are gone.

Me and my mum are going out to lunch with all of us, and my sister, to a mexican restaurant in Hove. It will be the first time Mum has managed to go there in about 8 years - my sister has lived there for all that time, and my mother has never bothered to visit her. Should be interesting!!

Have ordered a planted basket and sent a card for my mother, I try to get plants instead then she can show it off all year! Will go over to MiL's on Sunday morning with card and fruit (makes it sound like she's ill, I dunno, but she can't have chocs now because she's diabetic so I bought all different fancy fruit from Tesco) and probably some little plant from DH's garden centre.

DS2 has made a card and some odd smelly thing at nursery, the card is now on DH's bedside table for some reason and I'm not sure where the smelly thing has gone! But he and DH must have been planning something on Wednesday because he mentioned chocolates... DS1 I have no idea if he has even noticed!
