Have felt better through the day. Went for a brisk walk at lunchtime with a couple of colleagues so can't be that ill physically, thank goodness, sore throats really floor me. Started coughing soon as we got back in the office though!

It was all just a bit too much at 3am. Thanks for the kind messages!

For the record, he is not enjoying this either. We are two very miserable people who just can't bring themselves to face up to what needs to be said, for different reasons.

Glad you feel a bit better and hope your sore throat eases soon.

I agree with the other about dh - start taking b ack control. I know it is easiser said than done having been in a similar predicament but once he is gone you will feel 200 times better - the stress of it all is taking it's toll. Hugs for you xxx

So he wants to stay with you while it suits him or at least he'd rather make it your decision and avoid any blame/guilt. He's pretty pathetic isn't he, can' t really blame her for dumping him. Say it, give him a deadline by which he has to decide to make it work (if you want that in any shape or form) or leave. It can't go on much longer and the boys will sense the atmosphere and be very confused. Presumably his family know the situation, will they back you up and take the boys otu while you "talk".

And I went to the doctor this morning after stern words from colleagues, which resulted in what I expected i.e. instructions to gargle salt water and inhale steam! But I did take the afternoon off sick for a rest because of this job interview tomorrow.

Interview was OK, felt fairly positive and relaxed about it but can't quite make up my mind if that means I'm likely to have got it or not... was mighty strange going down to Taunton for the day, felt like I should be going on holiday! If I have got the job could well end up sitting at the same desk anyway, apart from the person next door probably being slightly p'd off at me since she went for it too!
