Chris Moyles and Radio 1 - RND

    Have you seen this?
    BBC - Radio 1

Chris Moyles, for Red Nose Day, is trying to break a record of being on-air for more than 51 hours... And, at just the 1/2 way point is already raised £550,000 pounds!!

I'm not a particularly great fan of Moyles, or of Radio1 (or of the BBC for that matter - "license fee grumble mumble") but this is spectacular. All the money raised for RND has always staggered me since being in this country, and, it continues to do so. In these tough times when money is scarce and everyone is afraid of what tomorrow brings - the altruism of folks whether it be RND, Japan, New Zealand is great and provides a small glimmer of hope that we aren't all lost!

I love the Chris Moyles show, have been watching the streaming all day, they've been at it 34 hours now and raised £661k. This is on top of the over £500k Radio 1 listeners raised when Scott Mills did the Red Nose Trek. It's astounding really.

Yeah massive fan of the show here, have listened to this continually for the last 2 days, had the red button on until 1AM last night in the background. It's like early big brother, oddly compelling viewing.
Tough one tonight tho, Liverpool are playing, it's the desert red nose trek thing and this is on.....what to watch, what to watch???
