PLAYING FOR THE PLANET AIMS TO GET LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO JOIN IN, HAVE FUN AND WIN GREAT PRIZES

Peter Duncan, iconic TV presenter and actor, Blue Peter legend and Chief Scout of the UK, who is the official supporter and judge for Playhouse Disney’s inaugural Playing for the Planet Awards is available for interview on Friday 4th JULY.

The Playing for the Planet Awards launched to reward eco-heroes both big and small across the country by appealing to families, nurseries and preschoolers to seek out the Greenest Nursery, Greenest Family, Planet Saver, Local Eco-Warrior, Greenest Celebrity, Disney Eco Hero and reward most outstanding Playing for the Planet Big Idea.

Playhouse Disney’s campaign addresses the basic lack of information available for parents on green issues, aiming to help a whole new generation of kids grow up green. It takes Playhouse Disney’s vision of helping kids learn through play and applies it to simple environmental lessons around recycling, water conservation and planting, making learning fun!
