    Question IPod forum readers

    Hi Sabian,
I noticed there are a few forum reader apps for IPhone etc. Are they any good and have you activated any that we can use for MO?

I use my iPod Touch too and use Safari but just wondered if the apps made it easier to read.

    Hi all,

Tapatalk is installed on the forums so if you visit MumsOnline via the Tapatalk app, you'll have the pages rendered fast and tidy without huge overheads from using something like iPhone Safari as well.

Tapatalk is a pretty great little app - the only downside is that due to a major bug in the free version for iPhone/Android, the free version has been pulled for the time being which means you'll have to let go of £1.79 if you'd like to use the app. The upside is that you wouldn't be paying for just access to MumsOnline as you are paying for the app, not the access - this gives you access to nearly any forum based website using the capabilities of the software.

I have contacted the developer of the app to see if I could get access to the app so that our lovely community members wouldn't have to pay for it - however in order for me to do that, I need to come up with £1000 whitelabel fee and, to be honest - I simply don't have that sort of cash. So, sorry!

As to the app itself, you can find it here for most mobile devices:

    iPhone: iTunes Store

    Android: Tapatalk Pro | SlideME

    Blackberrry: Download Tapatalk for BlackBerry

Nokia: Ovi Store: Tapatalk - Forum Client

If you read the forums on your phone/ipod/etc... You have to use a mobile browser which can make things slow to load or broken layout etc.

tapatalk/forum runner is an app that renders the forum through its own dedicated application.
