Hi, and welcome! I've been diagnosed with Depression and BPD, so I don't have any experience to relate to your experiences but I can say try to be kind to yourself. You're ill and that's nothing to blame yourself for. It may help some to think of it like that?
Hiya hun,
Pretty much what Pie has said really, be nice to yourself and don't beat yourself up as that'll just make things worse. Has the doctor recommended anything along the lines of counselling/ medication?
Just always remember this isn't your fault, and you didn't ask for it to happen![]()

Thank you! Yep, I've been on the drugs for a while now and waiting for cognitive therapy, only 12 on the waiting ilst before me!
Hi, I'm also bipolar. As Pie said, it's not your fault you are unwell, your diagnosis proves that so there's nothing to blame yourself for.
Try to think of something positive to achieve every day rather than dwell on the negatives. Set yourself small daily objectives, easily achievable but not big enough to get you stressed or anxious. Find some words (poems, proverbs., whatever is your thing) and keep them nearby to reflect on and give encouragement. Make sure you get out of the house for a walk as well, even if it's only into the garden.
hope it picks up

Thanks very much for your words. I do walk a lot, don't drive so all school runs etc done on foot and I do find it helps, there's nothing for me to arrange/straighten outside! Anyone got any ideas for proverbs? Husband thinks problems arise from trying to uber mum, my own mum died when I was 7, plus I was adopted as a baby so don't have any mother figure to look up to. Anything humourous might work!
Ooh I hope the cognitive therapy works for you. My tutor at uni is a cognitive therapist and she is really really good. She kinda does practice sessions with us and really changes our ways of thinking about problem situations.
Hmm something humourous. I'll have a think...
