    I miss Woolies!

It's just hit me that I *am* actually going to miss Woolworths. We are doing an Easter egg hunt and I would like to get a bunch of plastic eggs (the type you can put stuff in), little chocolate things and Easter eggs. In the past I would have just popped into Woolies and picked up all this tatty stuff plus more, for very little money and it would have been perfect. Where else can I now go?!!

I miss it too, I used to love just popping in and having a browse, I'd more often than not buy something too. All the staff knew us and would put stuff aside for us too. The kids miss it too, might have something to do with the toys...

Woolworth was the highlight of our High Street, to kill time you'd 'pop into Woolies'.... I miss it loads. I'm not too keen on the fact that ours is one of the ones that will turn into Icelands in October! That will give us 6 estate agents, 9 hairdressers and 4 supermarkets .... and naff all else!

I don't miss it as I never went there but if you really miss it go to Dorchester in Dorset (Thomas Hardy's Casterbridge) where the old manager of Woolworths took on the old lease, hired all the old staff and opened 'Wellworths'.

Easter eggs always overpriced in Woolworths and the queues as nightmare.
