Thread: iPhone4 for £99, Xmas in July more like!

I was reading the Guardian and there's an article about a site that uses the power of group buys to drive costs down and save a few quid on anything from diet soup to holiday packages.

Anyway, apparently, all you have to do is sign up to the service and tomorrow at 9:30am they'll send you a "special link" and if you click on that link at 9:30 on July 2nd and are quick enough - you can snap up a £499 iPhone for £99.

I figured it was worth a punt, I've put this on Twitter and Facebook as well but as MO is my baby and I shant forsake it for new fangled technology, this is what I put there too!

Anyone see the article in the Guardian today? A group buy website is selling limited number of iPhone4's for £99 so long as you click on the special link *AT* 9:30 and get in before they are all gone! Worth a punt, no? Groupola -

No I see the confusion - the email has just come to me today, but the link activates tomorrow. Hm. I will give it a go!

Don't worry - the servers crashed and of the 4 times I made it into the site 2x was the normal page and 2x was the special page but the special page timed out before you could buy. I don't think you missed anything!
