I can't be dealing with this anymore.

I am in AGONY, I can't bend, cross my legs, anything. And I just got an email back from my NHS osteopath, most of his dept has been made redundant....my treatment is over though I'm not better. I'm in tears as basically the only option now is painkillers.

Oh Pie How can they just stop your treatment when you are still in pain? I don't understand and it seems all wrong. is there anyone you can go to, speak to about this.

    Not sure what to suggest.

I have to go back to my GP, but I already know what she'll offer (drugs). It's just god old NHS cutbacks. I can't believe Ana is 2 and it's still hurting this much.

Pie --- go see an osteopath. Really. It's worth the expense if it can get you up and moving without pain again.

Oops, just reread the top. Have you been seeing someone who has experience with pregnancy and pregnancy related problems in osteopathy?

ABout the only other option I have heard about for chronic SPD pain is surgery to bolt the two halves of the pubic bone together.

You could also talk to a chiropractor who has experience with pregnancy -- there's something some do called a pelvic release which some women report helps.

I know this pain and I can't believe how long you have suffered with it

Firstly, take the painkillers - they will stop the pain and at least give you some respite. And before you yell at me, I know this is not a permanent solution, I know, but there is nothing wrong with taking painkillers

Then you get back to your GP. They cannot say your treatment is over - your pelvis is not better, it hasn't gone back into position so your treatment is not over. The GP can't just shrug his/her shoulders and be done with it - push for another referral, and contact your MP too. And ask for advice from NHS direct, I gather they are pretty good at telling you what your rights are and how to get the most out of it

Take the painkillers then start making some noise in the right places

I have been seeing an NHS osteopath for 2 years now, I simply can't afford to go private, and he was excellent. I do take the painkillers but they are addictive - very and I don't want to go down that garden path.

    Thanks everyone.
