    Ouch!

OK, so about a week ago I felt not-sick enough to attempt a bit of a leg over with DH. Anyway, the next day I was absolutely crippled and have been in agony ever since. It started in my lower back, sort of around the top of my left buttock and whilst it is there all the time, sometimes it encircles my the entire of that side of my hip joint. It twinges in the other side occasionally but is mostly on the left. It hurts to get up and sit down, getting into the car is like being knifed in the back and generally sitting down and pretty much anything else makes me want to cry.

I went to the doctor the other day who prescribed me paracetamol to start with, although he is a sweetie and said I had to come straight back if it didn't improve in a couple of days.

Anyway, long story short, does this sound like SPD? I was quite twingey towards the end of my pregnancy with Erin, but I was quite large by then.

No, sounds like sciatica to me.

SPD hit me in the pubic bone, I could literally feel the two bones grinding together at the front. I then got deffered pain in my lowetr left back and hips. It was agony, and made walking very difficult, and made me waddle when before I had managed not to waddle at all!!!

Agree with AL, I had dreadful sciatica with dd the pain used to shoot down my right leg and up my back it was agony.
I had a touch of SPD in the last few weeks with ds and it was a totally different pain, I used to feel my pelvis click very time I turned over in bed, very painful.
hope it eases soon, my dh uesd to give me massages to relieve it and he used to get his elbow right into the deep tissue in my butttock, that really helped.
