Lauren takes after her father, so not very academic, more hands on. Wasn't interested in school, upward struggle from year 7. She has always been very artistic and won many prizes for her art in junior school, gifted child programme etc. She did say she wanted to be a architect, not a sit behind desk sort of person at all. So when deciding what to study at college, changed her mind completely. She has always done all her friends hair and better than many hairdressers. So no surprise when she decided thats what she wanted to do. There will always be work for them. Yep she is studying hairdressing, doing very well. How good is that, I don't have to go to any hairdressers anymore! x

Hi Meggie, it is never easy. She was messed around with two apprenticeships, one even told her the working hours, days off, pay, phoned the day release college whilst she was there. Said she would ring next day, only formality and say when she can start. Never rang all week. Phoned on the Friday at 5. "Sorry we have changed mind". I went nuts, I don't normally interfer, but......... Phoned the Salon and really had a moan, told them that they shouldn't have built her hopes and why all the info. Needless to say I have bad mouthed the salon. Anyone local to Romford, it is in Gidea Park. Enough said. By the way, if any local Romford people are on line. Scouts Christmas Event, Trinity Methodist Church, Angel Way. Tonight 6-8. I will be there with all my cupcake ceramics. Have a good day all. xxxx
