    Clomid side effects?

    Who here has used Clomid?

These hormonal mood swings (and verging on feeling rather deressed too) and the not sleeping - the Clomid causing it???

i got quite weepy IIRC, but part of that was the stress of wondering if it had worked that month. Have you been back to the docs about it?

I have never taken it but a couple of friends have and I have to say one of them told me she found it almost horrific and she wanted to kill her husband while on it (not good when ttc obviously) She said it was truely awful and she really was not herself while on it. She lost her sense of humour completely and was very hard to be around. Luckily, everyone close to her knew what she was going through so obvioulsy we were all supportive and understanding. She now has 8 year old twins and other friend has 18 month old and is on it again ttc number 2

Not not been back to GPs. Do you think that is adviseable? I assumed that the only options are take it and deal with it, or stop taking it. Not back to see consultant until Jan, after I have finished taking the 6 months Clomid.

I have felt like this on and off for last few months, since starting the Clomid I guess. Feeling pretty fed up a lot of the time, and I don;t think the not sleeping (or rather the not being able to get to sleep) isn;t helping. And the whole work issue at the prison def is not helping matters!

I thought finding a new job and handing my notice in would help, but still feeling rubbish. Just posting to "let it out" so to speak; responses not required! Just feeling very tired - still taking a long time to get to sleep at night so behind on sleep - and very emotional, just want to cry al the time.

aaaww, Hula, sorry to read this, you aren't having much of a fun time are you.... have you tried something to help you sleep... not sleeping pills but a herbal remedy or something? lack of sleep can make everything seem alot worse.... sending you some happy sleeping vibes!

Think I do need to find time to see GP FD. Just to register how I am feeling if nothing else.

Neddy - I have tried things like CALMS but they don't really do anything. Have tried relaxation techniques, etc. too. Am fine once asleep and could sleep for ages in a morning. It is just geeting to sleep int he first place.

Sorry to hear you feel so dreadful. Get some geranium essential oil from the health food shop and either birn it in an oil burner, put a few drops on bedside light bulb (heats and lets of scent when on) and out a dab on your sleeve/collar. It is excellent for balancing effects of being overly hormonal
