Thread: Early bump with 2nd pregnancy?

I found out I was prgnant again last week when I was 4 weeks gone. Im now 5 weeks & have a huge bump already is this normal? I have 3 sets of twins in my family, so bit concerned it may be twins! Im due 27th April & have a 2 year old already, cant wait for my scan, think I'll pass out if theres 2 heartbeats!!

The earliest you could probably get a scan is 7 weeks. At this stage the foetus is so tiny it wont make a difference on the size. But I remember getting bigger sooner with my pregnancy.

I showed very soon with my second but managed a 7lb 8oz boy and we have 5 sets of twins! There was panic to begin with but I had a gut feeling it was just one
I think it's mostly bloating and water retention.

congratulations! I showed mega quickly with my second and felt movements really soon too - I think it's pretty common. Hope all goes well for you.

Thanks Im so excited to be pregnant again! But sure I'll find it hard looking after my 2 year old when Im bigger! Really looking forward to feeling movements but I know thats a long way off yet.

I showed early with no 2 as well.I think it is just because all the muscles are looser having been stretched the 1st time. I needed to wear maternity clothes by 12 weeks as I felt uncomfortable with any clothes pressing on my waist
