Ooh! Is that Woodbridge Suffolk? I was born there...well, the Phyllis Memorial Maternity Home at Melton. Long since closed! They kept you in 10 days and brought you the baby every 4 hours for a feed....Mum says the noise of the screaming in the "nursery" must have been deafening. All those poor little beggers starving.

I am 33 weeks pregnant and am having a home birth. Nothing wrong with giving birth on a boat....i assume it is moored?!!

More like a mudbirth... at least at low water. Sounds entertaining

Riponwitch: Yes it is moored^^ And yes it's Woodbridge Suffolk. Wow, that doesn't sound like fun, I'm glad they closed it down! Apparently they do LOADS of homebirths around here now, the midwife is really supportive

am due may the 15th with a boy

From my dates I am due Oct 6th (but will know more after a scan)
We won't be finding out before... DH wants to but I told him he is waiting
This time I want a water birth with just Gas and Air
I tried with my first but she got stuck so I had to get out - booo!

2. Will you be finding out the sex?
Was tempted at the scan but left it as a surprise again

3. Do you have any idea what kind of birth you are aiming for?

I'm hoping for an unassisted delivery. I would like to try for a waterbirth. I would prefer to be at home but hubby just too nervous about it and need his to be happy too for support.
What I don't want (from last time) - any kind of drip to speed things up, didn't work just hurt like hell and wore me out - an epidural as they were reluctant due to my scoliosis (curved spine) and it gave me bad side effects , and the owrse case of shakes ever - I basically don't want anything that will make me unaware of whats happening, I'd like to remember good things not just the negs like last time

(BTW I'm not miserable really ROFL)
