    Spotting during early pregnancy

Im 8 weeks pregnant & had some spotting over the weekend. I called the NHS helpline & was told by a doctor that its completely normal to 'spot' during early pregnancy as long as its not fresh blood & Im having no pains. I didnt have anything all throughout my 1st pregnancy so wondered if anyone else has also suffered from this.

Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy and your wedding- great photo!
I did not have spotting, but know a lot of people who have had this. it can be perfectly normal, but if you are worried you could see your GP

Thank you! I was about 1 week pregnant when I got married but didnt know!
The spotting has stopped for the moment but I will mention it to the midwife when I see her week on wed. I hate the 1st 12weeks of pregnancy its so scary! & have also found out when you already have a child its very difficult to rest. Good job I've just been made redundant & don't have to cope with going to work as well!!

Congratulations Sophie! On your marriage and on your pregnancy, how lovely!

I don't think anything "causes" it, it just seems to happen sometimes, very scary though
Rest as much as you are able and try not to worry

    Oh, and eat chocolate
