    Talking We have a date!!

Saw the Dr again today, and he is very happy with the way the pregnancy is progressing.

The baby looks good and the size is spot on for my dates, which shows my diabetes is under good control. I am actually quite proud of that, as I have worked really hard at it. He said I am one of the easiest 'high risk' pg's he has ever had to deal with.

So because of that, he is now confident we will make it to 38 weeks.
And a date has been picked - baby will arrive on Monday 23rd April.
Only 8 more weeks to go.

A theatre slot does have to be confirmed with the hospital, and I also have to meet with the specialist diabetic team based there, but that should all be confirmed within the next 48 hours.

It all suddenly seems very, very close........

Now I just have to get through tommorow's appointment with my diabetes specialist, and hope my latest long term sugars look as good as today's appointment indicates.

Thats brilliant. And if you have a boy you can call him George, cos its St. Georges Day!

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them.
