When I had DS1, I came to the hospital worried about the (what I thought was heavy) bloody show and the midwife turned to her collegue and laughed a raucous Jamaican laugh and said 'Oh dear god, she's having a baby and she's worried about a little bit of blood!' Before the 2 of them almost collapsed in hysterics :paranoid Maybe the'd been on the entonox :shrug

    This happened to me!
The first time I moped up after myself as I was helped into the delivery room and the midwives were laughing at me.
The second time after delivery the midwife told me to 'watch the carpets'. So my mil (bless her) helped me off the bed and caught the mess with tissues and then cleaned up after me :sick That is my only complaint against the unit. It was designed for a water birth as there were carpets in the bed section of my room.
