They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
With ds, mine broke at the start of labour.....three days later he was born!
with dd, they didn't break until I was ready to push
Well if you believe in trends then my family would be a good one for you,
I had an ARM as part of an induction both times
My sister's waters broke 2 days before labour both times
My mum had an ARM in labour with both me and my sister
LOL
Amy, mum to 3 gorgeous girlies and a handsome little man
I couldn't take part in the poll as there's not a box for me!!! lol. You always get one awkward one, eh?
During all my three 'normal' labours, the waters had to be broken with the 'crochet hook' in the transition stage, mine never broke spontaneously.
What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger

I can't answer. I was induced, using the whole works! They finally broke my waters when I was 2cm dilated after lots of trouble. They were unable to do it for ages - my poor baby was born with nicks on her head from their attempts! So, waters broken for me in induced unestablished labour. Induction still didn't work though.
had ARM with Josh - and labour never started
forewaters broke with John at beginning of labour; hindwaters were manually broken when I transferred into hospital
forewaters broke at beginning of labour with Kieran; hindwaters broke when m/w barely touched them after about 36 hours labour
Katherine was an artificial rupture. With Matt my waters broke before labour pains but it was only a few hours before labour started. With Christopher labour pains and then a huge gush of waters all over the floor just before I went to hospital. With Isobel I had a bulging bag about to rupture but they made me shut my legs as I needed a section as she was a complicated breach so I think my waters would have gone with her if things had have run their natural course.
