Question Is it just wishful thinking or could it be on the way

I am 35 + 1 and all day I have had loads of energy. I have cleaned the bathroom from top to bottom, all the windows, the kitchen, gone for walk, danced like a loony with my DD and still feel raring to go.

Also my lower back has been been aching nearly all day too. Could it be that I have just done to much hence the backache or could it be starting??

DD was early and I remember being really active the day before my contractions started.....

....or is this just wishful thinking????

How early was DD? Sounds like you're nesting for sure!

i find the only true sign for me is a need to poo constantly till you have piles.
i don't think i'll have any more children on that fact alone.

take it easy though. over exertion might only lead you to false labour.

    good luck flumpy!

I went into labour 10 days before EDD but it stopped, then started again again 3 days before. I know it is not by much but I keep hearing that second babies are early and both my miswife and consultant have made comments that this is coming early!!

Like I say I might just have all this in head and be hoping this is it.

My second was earlier than my first. It would be very early though wouldn't it? Hopefully this is your body warming up slowly so the actual birth is quick and straightforward.

I remember being totally fed up by 35 weeks, and desperate for the baby to arrive. Although I also knew it was still a bit early. You don't want the little one to arrive too early and have complications, and my Dr always said it was best to keep them 'inside' until at least 38 weeks if possible.

But on the plus side you will have a nice clean house when the baby does arrive!

I went into labour at 35.4 weeks and had the steriod injection just incase. They kept me in hospital all weekend as I was contracting regularly but I wasn't dilating. I discharged myself against the hospitals advice and it was another 10 days before I went into labour properly! Baby is better off staying in there for a little bit longer flumpy, that's what they kept telling me, although I wasn't convinced!
It probably was a good thing as she was very tiny when she was born at 36.6 weeks.

I had loads of possible 'signs' that things may be starting and still went 2 weeks overdue and had to be induced. I was dead on my due date with my first so there are no guarantees I'm afraid, these babies come when they're ready, mine was a very stubbon baby and she was my 2nd.
Your baby will hopefully stay put for a few weeks longer till you are full term but good luck if this really is it.

OOh good luck. My first was 13 days late, my second 15days late so I think they just come when they are ready. If you have run out of places to clean and organise, maybe you could offer your services to others ;o)
