    Mini Dizzy's arrival!

Well as you all know I had the sweep on thursday morning. I had period type pains all day and then nothing. I woke friday about 2am with pains all irregular between 8-12mins apart but they all died off about 6:30am (ish)

Had a few pains throughout the day but nothing major iykwim. Decided late afternoon to take the children and the dog to a local squirrel park. Walked through the wooded area and then took them on the park bit. I then decided to have a go on the swings. (Wondered why an old woman kept giving me strange looks until I saw the photo dh had took of me!! )

We got home and dh cooked me some tea but I only ate half of it and felt a bit yuck, the pains were still very infrequent and not very painful iykiwm. I decided to go and have a bath. Was chatting to my friend on the phone and was coping ok. Then I spoke to another friend and they got really strong all of a sudden. I stopped speaking to her about 8:50pm. I then got a VERY painful contraction and felt a sort of pop down below. This is how the converstaion went with dh and I:

Me: Mr dizzy (Obvioulsy not that but I'll call him that for now!)
    Mr D: Oh god what
Me: I erm sort of just felt a pop
Mr D: Ok, what do we do?
Me: I dont know what do we do
Mr D: What do you want me to do
Me: I dont bloody know, what do you want me to do?

Bearing in mind my waters have never gone at home so we didnt have a clue! I got out of the bath with the aid of dh to be greeted by 6 or 7 very painful contractions one after the other!!!
I then had to run/waddle/hobble to the loo as my body decided to clear out my bowels VERY quickly!!

Managed to get downstairs, phoned babysitter and half told her, half growled at her to come round. Phoned labour ward and told them I thought I should come in and promptly had a HUGE contraction and growled to dh to speak to the midwife lol

Started getting dressed as I was still naked. Then I started crying as I thought I'd wee'd on the floor and Mr D is telling me not to worry, but I am completely horrified! But it was my waters leaking.

Knock on door and I'm telling friend and her daughter (babysitter)to come in (don't forget I'm STILL naked!!! ) dh ushers them into the living room and then starts to help me get dressed. It then took me 10mins to get from my kitchen to the car. Dh was like a referree saying right as soon as the pain goes, go for your life to the car!! I'd get a few feet and be crippled with another contraction! Managed to get in the car and dh then decided to shout at slow drivers as he was terrified I'd give birth in the car! I took my mind off it by texting a few people inbetween groaning lol Got to hospital and he was a referee again trying to get me to the lift and upstairs.

Got into the examination room and I felt an urge to push. Another conversation:

Me: Mr D, I need to push
    Mr D: No you dont
Me: MR D I NEED TO PUSH!
Mr D: No you dont, just wait.
Me: MR D I NEED TO FU**IN PUSH GET SOMEONE NOW!!!!
Mr D: ok! (Cue dh runnng off to get help!)

Midwife comes in, I manage to get onto bed and she says your 7-8cms dilated already!! I was like OMG your kidding!

She gets labour room set up, I gets changed. Hobbles out and then needed another poo (The most inappropiate moment to have the runs!)

Goes into labour room, needs yet another poo so dashes off again!!

Finally got onto bed and got the gas and air. 5mins later I feel an incredible urge to push. Midwife and Mr D are telling me not to. I'm growling that I need to. Then I starts crying saying I'm sorry I'm really trying not to push.

Midwife said she'd wait till pain had gone to check me. I said its not bloody going just check me now!

She says I'm fully dilated and can push, I'm that shocked I promptly stopped pushing and said: can I really!!!!

Cue me growling to dh, this is a boy!!!

Started pushing and when his head was out I told the midiwfe that I wasn't doing anymore so she had to pull it out!

The cord was wrapped so tightly around his neck that she couldn't get it over his head, she had to push it down over his shoulders. Then she told me I had to push really hard as his shoulders were very big. He was delivered straight onto me and then I was nearly drowned by all the water!!!! He also started to poo on the way out.

He needed a small blast of oxygen as he was pretty shell shocked. (As was I!!!) I got the most incredible shakes afterwards!

The poor midwife didnt even have time to get things ready! Mr D had to help her grab a towel and afterwards she was covered lol

He arrived at 21:47, nearly to the hour after I'd stopped speaking to friend on the phone!

And thats it!!! So I'm off to eat food before little man wants another feed!!

    Here's another piccy too lol

Thanks for sharing with us Dizzy and he is adorable

One of my worst fears was poo'ing on the MW or something cause my bowels didn't clear out before. If I did then everyone, including DP, was too polite to say
