Thread: ALWAYS get stopped!

Well, I have started having to build in about 15 extra minutes into every trip to the shops because every single time Merry is in the sling about 4 old ladies physically stop me to tell me how clever it is and how cute the baby is, and people turn heads round for a good gawp and a coo.

Anyone would thing they'd never seen a baby before! LOL! I mean its only Ripon, and I know we are a bit rural, but for heavens sake, am I the only person in the whole place with a sling? I have never seen another pouch sling here. Occasionally there is a baby in a back carrier, but I think they are usually the grockles on their holidays doing "walking".

Does anyone else have this problem? Am I really that much of a hippy?Or is my baby just exceptionally cute? LOL!!

i love that you call her Merry thats really sweet. my friend has a little girl called Meredith too and when her little brother was learning to talk he called her Diddy as she couldnt say Meredith!

I get stopped loads with Ares in his sling. Older women usually. I have had loads complements about how comfy he looks. I have had a few strange comments like is there a baby in there.
