    Recommend me a sling

I would like to get a sling for DS but I haven't got a clue on what type sling to buy for him. I would like something that is easy to use and that I can breast feed in discreetly when out and about and most of all not very expensive.
So what would you ladies recommend for a complete novice like me?

A pouch or ring sling is probably the easiest to breastfeed in as you would carry the baby in a cradle position anyway. both types are easy to use, and cheap.
A pouch is sized, so good if it's just for you, all you do is pop it over your head and put one arm through. The ring sling is similar to a pouch but adjustable. There are usually some cheap ones on ebay, although I've not looked latley.

I have a Freedom Slings pouch sling. Its the padded one and it is adjustable with rings at the back. They sell on Ebay. Just look up Freedom Sling.

I love stretchy wraps for newborns and V little babies. I find thenm V comfy to wear, you can tie it on yourself before going out then just pop baby into it once you are at your destination and you can BF no problem it one.
I liked my pouch but DD2 hated lying in a cradle position, she loved being tummy to tummy best. It is trial and error a bit really as different mums and babies prefer different slings.
Yahoo group UKbabywearingSWAP is a great place to check out for preloved slings or put an ISO out.
www.thebabywearer.com is fab too but alot of sellers there are from the states/Canada so you have to be careful about shipping/customs charges

What position do you generally carry him in 'in arms'? Do you want a fitted option, or adjustable? Do you want one that will potentially last you through toddlerhood or are you thinking more 6m to a year, and then maybe get something else? And do you have any back/shoulder/neck/hip issues?

I want a sling that will last through until he is a toddler. He seems to have two positions that he likes to be cuddled in. Either up on my chest or in a cradle position. I want something that is adjustable. Although I do have some shoulder problems at times.

A wrap sling would be good for that, you can get them in all sorts of positions, cuddled in whilst teeny, facing out when at that lovely "Nosey" stage, and on your back if you like. Very comfy too.

I got my Moby on here for £15 second hand, its fab.

If you want to try one REALLY cheaply, just by a length of fabric with a slight stretch to it, and use that! We used a length of fabric that cost about £6 for a while, I didnt even hem the sides, it was fine. Then as I got more addicted I bought one.
