    Question Guess what...

I've got braces on my teeth !!!

    Never too old is it

Only one problem, I'm not meant to drink anything that isn't water with them in and i'm only to take them out 2 hours max a day for eating and cleaning. HOW do I drink wine??? Am I supposed to neck a bottle in half an hour flat? Now I know I'm a good drinker but even that is a bit much for me. I've only had them in 5 days and I feel I'm about to break the rules

What's it going to do - dissolve them? I would probably anyway.

I need something on my bottom teeth. One of my teeth (tooths?) has gone all weird at the bottom....

Ha ha, who knows?? something about it all getting stuck underneath and eating at the enamel as the saliva can't get to the teeth to naturally clean them.

Anyway, I've joined another forum - a dental one LOL and asked the same question. Bet they're too serious and don't answer me.

I dont think I'd bother with the hassle for one tooth? unless it stops you smiling and wanting photos taken (i.e. on your mind constantly)

How is wine going to get stuck? Just give it a good rinse afterwards!! When I had one in my teens I seem to remember giving it a rinse whenever I ate anything anyway, and I was supposed to keep them in all the time. No-one said anything about not drinking wine or non-water (although I was 13 +/- a year).

Ah, these are plastic 'moulds' that sit on and around your teeth so v easily can hold liquid onto your teeth. I used to have a fixed metal brace as a teen and those aren't a problem. I didn't really want a mouth full of metal at my age.

Just pour it out when you're done.

ETA or use it as a kind of mug.

isn't alcohol used to clean things? I think it would be good for your braces to swill wine around them

I'd go for white rather than red , then it won't stain! Dentist has suggested I could yet have one , also need a veneer or whitening on my dead front tooth. Dare I ask how much it cost ?

Use a straw, that way it bypasses your teeth
