I've had homeopathic stuff before and it did nothing.
Bubs that is total crap!. He probably doesn't have a clue so says no to air on te side of caution. I have personally checked this out and it clearly states in the breastfeeding and drugs book that Loratadine is very safe, even spoken to a bfeeding specialist pharmasist who verified this for me.
You can buy it over the counter from anywhere inc supermarkets. I have taken it throughout bfeeding and dd2 has never suffered any side effects

I just looked in my drugs book and it says "The drug passes into breast milk, but effects on the baby are unlikely".

I looked it up on Hales website yesterday (Paed who wrote Medication and Mothers Milk) it said the drug passes through in tiny amounts it is unlikely to cause a problem and is the safest anti-histimine to use. Hales website for future reference is http://neonatal.ttuhsc.edu/lact/index.html
LOL I think I got it in one of those book club things that deliver to work places years ago. It lists all medicines, tells you brand names, generic names and so forth and whether you can take them in pregnancy and breastfeeding etc along with other information about how to take them, what they're used for, how they work etc.
