Would you give it to your nut allergic child?

I have a sample and I will try it and tell you how it compares to the real thing - I don't think I would be abole to give it to dd - as it looks like peanut butter.

It is not available in the UK - yet!

I personally wouldnt bother with it as even if ds1 were not nut allergic, peanut butter is not something i would generally give him in a sandwich anyway, so i dont thin khe is missing out iyswim. We have a jar of peanut butter in an out of reach cupboard that Mr Starry uses. Ds2 knows what the jar looks like incase he were ever offered out of the home.

His best friend at school is brilliant. The other week at lunch they were sat eating their sandwiches and his friend realsied a girl sat next to ds1 had peanut butter sandwiches in her lunchbox. He knows ds1 is allergic and as ds1 didnt recognise the look or smell coming from the sandwiches, his friend apparently alerted him and the lunch lady before anythign nasty happened. I was freaked out but really proud of his friend. Their teacher sent a note home to the girls parents reminding them that peanut butter and nuts are banned in that school as they have nut allergic children in school and one in her class!

I love peanut butter but haven't had it for years - the substitute is for me!!!

As we have nothing in the house which include nuts - I find I crave everything nutty - I only need to walk past a packet of dry roasted and I salivate!!
