Thanks for all of the answers ladies.
It has helped a lot, and I have decided to be brave. Tonight she has gone down without a nappy!

She was totally thrilled to be just like her big sister, and although (like Starry) 2 years and 2 months seems way too young to me, I guess if she is dry then she is dry.

I did double sheet the bed though, just in case.....

I think the big sister thing helps. I know DS2 was desperate to wear little boxer shorts just like his brother and he knew his brother didnt wear a nappy at night.

TBH I don't think age and copying comes into it for night time dryness. It is to do with a hormone that kicks in sometime between the age of 18m and 7y usually. If that hasn't kicked in, will power alone won't do it.

This is why you have have children dry at night and not in the day.

Dd decided on her second birthday that she wasn't going to wear a nappy anymore and she was dry that same night, she has been dry for almost 3 years now with about 4 accidents at night.
I thought she was way too young but she was and still is a very determined little girl!
Ds has decided that he will copy his sister and do a wee on the loo before their bath and he does, but he won't wee on the potty, no-body else does so why should he!

Depends on the child I think, DS was 6 and DD was almost 3. Once you have a couple of weeks or they refuse a nappy then go for it!

Don't stress about it is the best thing, no one apart from you will know, and it doesn;t really matter.

    Good luck
