Thread: Encouraging asking for help in taking knickers down

How can I get my DD to come and ask for help in removing trousers and knickers before she wees in them?! She will quite happily take herself off to the potty and wee or poop if she is bare bottomed but dress her and she just wets or soils herself.

have you tried putting her in a skirt or dress? Then she only has one layer to pull down. Worked better with my DDs.

Or just knickers round the house?? We did that at first as DD1 found the poppers too complicated on trousers and jeans.

I'm having a similar problem with DD2.

She has been potty training for a while now, and will use the potty everytime when naked, and if just in pants she will take them off completely, use potty and then keep them off, but when I dress her she tends to wet herself. If we are out and about, she is very good and hasnt had an accident yet, only at home?

Dresses and Skirts are ok, but she doesnt always lift them high enough, and gets them in the potty!

TBH, I have no idea what to do! I am just perservering, and reminding her lots and keeping fingers crossed!
