I have a 5 year old who is wetting the bed. From three and a half he was dry night and day but for the last six month he has been wetting the bed every night. Has any one any advice?

They won't do anything medically until he is at least 7, so I would discuss with him the possibility of wearing pull ups at night. Of course, make sure he goes to the loo before bed etc etc. Pull ups might help ease the problem as he may feel less worried about wetting the bed. DD2 is 4.5 and is nowhere near being dry every night yet, so he is not alone in wetting the bed.
Any major changes in his life like starting school could trigger a relapse. But don't fret too much as according to statistics 1 in 6 still wet the bed in reception year at primary.
My son is 6 and still wets the bed, have tried everything and nothing works. He's in pull ups.
I have been told by the school nurse not to worry and if he is still wetting the bed when he's 7 then they will start to look into it then.
