    linking affiliate programme

Barefoot Books has just made a really interesting announcement. They are merging their affiliate programme into the Stallholder programme. So to join as an online affiliate you actually join as a Stallholder. The good news is that it will now be free to become a stallholder. The business website package and the starter kit are still optional extras. If you join as a basic Stallholder (without upgrading to the business website package) then you have access to all the buttons and banners and your code embedded into any links to place on another website or blog.
I'm still getting my head around all this new information and I wondered how other people felt about these changes?
It's a really good development as it means that the Stallholding opportunity is available to anyone with no barriers with regard to cost. I'm wondering whether there will be pitfalls as well though. I'd appreciate your thoughts and comments.

Sorry, yes that did seem very confusing. I'll try to re-word it:

Previously being a stallholder cost £24.99 to start and the starter kit and website were optional extras. Barefoot Books also had affiliates who created links to the main BFB website and earned a commission (not sure what that figure was). It cost nothing to be an affiliate.

So now, there is no difference between an affiliate and a stallholder, it's now free to sign up, the starter kit and personal website are still optional extras.

You can build a business as an online affiliate, creating links back to the main site, or you can be a full-on stallholder doing stalls, home parties, selling to schools and nurseries etc., or any combination of the two.

In response to my own question above, there have been no obvious pitfalls, it's working just fine.

Could I put links on my existing websites as an affiliate? And do you have a link? I am interested in joining this sort of thing!

    PM me if you like!
