    %^&*(^&*)() buyer

Someone bought a baby jumper on Wednesday. I always say in my selling items that I will post within 48h second class, and if it is clothes I will wash them first. So I posted it on Friday, second class. I come home today from copious amounts of drink to see that they have opened a Paypal dispute as, I assume, they haven't received it! What do they expect, that I am waiting by the PC for them to buy something and then chuck it in the washing machine and then post it within about 10 mins of them buying it? I am really cross.

Oh no! How on earth did they open a dis[ute so soon, I thought you had to wait at least 7 days?

Ebay is going down the drains, I hate the new layout and feedback system.

I had a non paying bidder but couldn't leave neg feedback warning others.

    Hope you get it sorted!

    Buggertitpant idiot of a buyer.

I know eBay used to have a 7 day policy but with all their other 'improvements' to make it 'buyer friendly' who knows what else they've done on the sneak?!

Have you done anything with the dispute yet?

Argh how annoying! I can't believe they do it that quick now. I had a buyer who took over a week to pay despite my listing saying you must contact within 24hrs. It was only the threat of a NPB that made her cough up. It annoys me so much that i can't leave her a neg

It's with Paypal now - it was an Ebid auction but they haven't raised it with them, just asked for a Paypal refund I think. I contacted Paypal and said I could provide proof of posting and I contacted Ebid alerting them to this weirdo. No response from either yet though, but it was late last night when I did it! But yes, you'd think they had to wait a week or so before it's possible to do such a thing.

That is awful. And although I don't normally sell things on E-Bay I do also think it is hugely unfair that sellers can no longer leave honest feedback. I think that now buyers have all the power they are really going to abuse it and become pickier and more demanding than ever.

Hope you get it sorted Xaulleo.

Grrrr okay, Paypal have closed the dispute and returned the money to the buyer! WTF is that all about? I have emailed them to ask why.

It's not that bad, it was a jumper that was just sitting in a bag doing nothing, but I forked out £1.50 odd for postage and it;s the principle of the thing. I don't understand!

I like the new system because I've had bad sellers before and been too worried about leaving them neutral or negative feedback. So with regards to protecting a buy from receiving mutual negative feedback when they made a prompt payment is a good thing.

However, like you say, there also needs to be something in place for non payers. Perhaps a "report this person button" so ebay can do something. I don't know. seems whatever you do you can't win.

I think poor communication causes so many problems too. Some people say they will post first class - and they do - but sometimes not for several days. I once waited in every day for a week for a parcel to arrive. When I emailed him after a week he replied in a snappy manner that he's got flu and couldn't get out. In fact I think I mentioned this because I did manage to get out to post something despite having flu, just lost my brother and Heather having chicken pox.

Anyway, I once sold something and I emailed buyer several times asking when they intended to pay and how they intended to pay and never got a reply. I told them I would be offering a second chance offer to next bidder and still no reply so I did just that and the next day they paid up putting me in an awkward situation. It just happened to be end of the month so I think they were waiting for payday.

Communication solves a lot of problems and upset. All the buyer had to do was email you and ask if you had despatched it yet. In fact when you open a dispute with paypal, it asks you if you have tried contacting the seller yourself yet and tried to sort it out amicably.
