We did Legoland with the kids yestaday and it was an amazing day out the kids loves every minute of it, it was a very long day left home at 6am and didn't get home till 10pm we'd def do it again though next time we'd book at stay over.
Never been - but glad you had a good time!!! Dd and Ds are going with my sister next week.
We got those at Thorpe Park last year - it is a good idea - except Dd lost hers within an hour!!!![]()
I was quite impressed with Legoland. Had been warned more for littlies than teenagers and the rides were rather tame but the nearly teenager actually really liked all the lego stuff because he is such a lego geek anyway. I thought the park itself was very clean and pretty and the lego made a nice added thing to look at - miniland was ace and wish we had spent more time in it. The view is fantastic from the top of the hill and I never tire of watching the planes go over. Took DH with us and he got lost (i.e. failed to find the place I'd told him we were at, didn't stay in the place he then told me HE was at, then managed to mistake Norway for Holland...) which was annoying.
We paid for one adult ticket, got one free, one Tesco rewards and one Blue Peter badge, am glad we didn't pay more! I can see that people can't do it all in one day but i don't think I could cope with two in a row, will go back sometime!
then managed to mistake Norway for Holland..
Quote of the week, lol.
Glad you enjoyed it. We have enjoyed when we've been.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
then managed to mistake Norway for Holland..
"That's odd... but there are wind turbines..."
LOL
We did a stay over thing - not at the Legoland hotel as it was just being built - but at one just outside of Windsor. We all loved it, especially DH and the build your own Lego cars! 2 days was ok (we got 2 for the price of 1) but by the second day we were pretty knackered so just went on the stuff we'd really enjoyed from the day before and stuff we'd missed, then went home fairly early. It's not all that far from here so that's great - would love to go back. Will investigate the Tesco vouchers thing as I have been saving them up.
It was 2.5 hours on the way down from leaving the house to actually getting in the park (queued for tickets only to be told had to queue again at guest services because of Blue Peter Badge Boy). But longer on the way back because we stayed til the rides closed and there was the huge tide of people leaving - took us 15 minutes to get the mile from the car park to the main road! But I would still rather go again in a few months time, because of the cost of staying over, and the exhaustion factor.
I resented the Q-bots! eventually everyone will end up using them, the park will be £10 a head more expensive, and the queuing just as bad!
