hi mums i am new to this whole chat room thing but i am needing advice on dealing with my 6 year old she is in grade 1 and has just started crying at school when the bell rings she says she misses me the teachers take her hand and she stands at the front how do i stop her from being so upset i have tried rewards but it is not working she is also waking me up every night with a new sickness each night help

hi im vicky, im going through the same thing with my little girl so i understand how upsetting it is-have you talked to her, to find out if she is having any problems at school? or has there been a change in her life that she is maybe reacting to? i tried rewards and it didnt work because i wasnt addressing the underlying issue. unfortuantly i dont have the answer because we are still going through it but i just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this x

sorry to hear that your dd is getting upset at separating from you at school.

if its a recent thing, the likelihood is that she will stop it soon. maybe something has upset her, but he attention she gets from the school staff, who are terribly experienced at these sort of things, will put her right. they are very good at getting to the bottom of things.
