Thread: The continuing unrequited puppy love of DS1

We went out for a bike ride today and met a rather nice big black horse who was friendly and came to have his nose blown into etc. So after a while DS1 said wistfully "it looks a bit like Harriet..." I tried very hard not to but said "is it the big dark eyes and long flowing mane then?" he said "MUM!!!!... well I suppose the eyelashes... and actually it looks nothing like her I don't know why I said that!"

It's so sweet!

Um... Do horses like you blowing up their nose? I should've thought it annoying

Who is Harriet?

There you go then that's two useful things you've learnt from me this evening. Horses like to have their noses blown into. Harriet left at the end of the summer term and DS1 has mentioned her name at least once a week ever since.
